Often misspelled as whome or whoom.

Same family: who, whoever, whomever, whose, who's. If you can spell one, the shared part carries to the others.

Where it comes from: “Whom” comes from Old English “hwām” or “hwone,” older forms of “who” used when the person is the object, not the subject. Over time, everyday English has increasingly preferred “who,” so “whom” now sounds formal or old-fashioned in many situations.
