The part people get wrong

Often misspelled as anyting or anithing.

Same family: anyone, anybody, anywhere, anytime. If you can spell one, the shared part carries to the others.

Where it comes from: Anything is a compound word formed from “any” and “thing.” The word “any” comes from Old English “ǣnig,” meaning ‘one of many,’ and combining it with “thing” lets us talk about an unlimited or unknown object or idea.
